I told you all we would try and keep you updated on me and the baby. So here it goes! When people ask me my due date I always say May 2nd, cause that's the date my doctor gave me, but then I always say, she is going to come early though. I have just had this feeling there was no way I would make it to my due date. And boy does mom know best! On Sunday night I went into labor, but my doctor decided it was still too early, so they gave me a series of shots to stop contractions. The shots are horrible. They speed up the moms heart rate but stop the uterus from contracting. We went into the hospital about midnight and sat there until 5 a.m. So a combo of the time and the shots made my heart feel like it was going to pound out of my chest. While I was there the nurse checked me for the first time and said I was dilated to a 3 and 80% effaced. After letting us go at 5 in the morning we headed home and both tried to get a little sleep. I felt so bad for Jer. He maybe got an hour, and then headed off to work. He sure has been a trooper through all this. Thank Heavens for my wonderful sister Manda. We called her at midnight, and she hurried right over to sleep with Wyatt while we were gone. Then on Monday I had a checkup, and my blood pressure was really high. This happened with Wyatt and I had preeclampsia, so they take it really seriously. So the doctor sent me to have lab work done and then to labor and delivery so they could monitor my blood pressure. Once the lab work came back they found that I had extremely low potassium levels. So they kept me over night on an I.V. to get the levels up where they should be. By this point I felt like we were just living in the hospital. I just wanted to go home. They kept me until 9 Tues. night and then let me go home. Then Wed. I had a follow up appointment. I have been joking that every time I go in for a check up they admit me into the hospital, so I was hoping that would not happen this go around. Once again they checked my blood pressure and it was high again. He also said that the urine sample showed that I had abnormally high protein levels. So he officially told me I have preeclampsia again. I was thankful to hear he was going to send me home instead of send me to labor and delivery for more monitoring. He did say I was on strict bed rest, and the only way to get rid of preeclampsia is to deliver the baby. So tonight I go in to have some high risk testing done, and then they will induce me tomorrow morning. So we will have sweet little Sydnee tomorrow. I have absolutely hated being on bed rest because I can't get up and clean like I want to, or play with Wyatt, but we have been very blessed to have family living close. They have been amazing, and let's just say I owe quite a few people big time!! I am extremely nervous and overwhelmed to be induced, because I was not induced with Wyatt, but I have had a few blessings, and I just need to have faith that everything will work out. This preeclampsia can get pretty serious, so I am hoping that Sydnee will be ok. They wouldn't give me an epidural right away with Wyatt because I had such high blood pressure, so I'm hoping I can have an epidural tomorrow. Anyway, we will try and post pictures and keep you all updated. Thanks to everyone for all your help!
