For preschool we have gone on two different fieldtrips now. In September we went to the Lehi Library, and on Wednesday we went to the fire station. They both were a sucess. Wyatt had so much fun at both. He was kind of shy at the fire station though. He wouldn't get up in the fire truck. I kept asking him why, and he just kept telling me he's too shy. Silly boy! When we lived in North Salt Lake, his preschool class went to the fire station, and he was really out going and wanted to get in the truck and try on the fireman's clothes. I don't know what the difference was, but on this one he was acting so silly!

When the cats away . . . . . .
So the boys in the fam (my dad, Jer, Jensen and Matt) went to Cali a couple weekends ago. They wanted to fit a trip in together before Matt went on his mission. While they were gone me and my mom had to do something fun. I have been talking about painting our wall mustard yellow for quite a while, but every time I'd bring it up Jer would moan and groan. So what better way than to wait until he is gone. The Saturday night they were gone me, my mom and my moms friend Liz painted the wall. I couldn't be happier with it. It makes it look like a whole different house. I was kind of nervous about what Jer would think when he got home, but he loved it! Since then we have painted our bedroom and Jer painted Wyatt's room all himself. To tell you the truth Jer is into this whole painting thing as much as I am. I knew it would take just one wall to have him hooked. Here are some pic's of the yellow wall. I haven't taken any of our room or Wyatt's room yet. I will post those later.

We have had a crazy month or so. We finally closed on our house on August 14th and got moved in. The wait was ridiculous and it was beyond frustrating to keep hearing that we could close, and then that day would come, and something else came up. It felt like forever!! Thanks to grandpa for letting us stay a couple weeks while we were in limbo! We felt extremely rushed because Jer had to be back to school that coming Wednesday, and I had a preschool open house the Saturday after we got moved in. As soon as we could move in that preschool was my main priority. Thanks to the help of my wonderful hubby, mom, and sister spending hours we got it all pulled together. I had my open house, and it was a success. I have 8 kids in my 3 yr. old class and 3 in my 4 yr. old class. I am pretty excited about it. Of course I would love a few more older kids, but I knew it would be hard to get that age group. A lot of the older kids already have a preschool teacher from last year that they will just stay with. So who knows, maybe I will pick up another throughout the year. I think for my first year I have a good start.

I thought I would update real quick again. We got moved on Friday. Unfortunately we were not able to close on our home in time so they let us move all our things into our garage. So once we do get to move in for real it will be that much easier to just move everything from the garage into the house. We are currently staying with my wonderful grandfather in Provo. He has a nice condo with a kitchen in the basement and a few extra bedrooms. I am so thankful he has given us a nice place to stay while we wait. We thought we were going to be able to close forever ago, but things haven't been working out like we had hoped. The house wasn't all the way finished like we thought it would be last Friday, and they have had final inspection twice now and it hasn't passed. They are fixing the things the inspector wants fixed, and hopefully it will pass today. There are also some things we are waiting on with the title company. Apparently they need more time. This whole waiting is annoying. I've just learned to stop getting my hopes up. Every time they give us a day for closing, that day comes and something else has come up. So we have our fingers crossed for Monday. Meanwhile we are in limbo trying our best to be patient. We love our new home and can't wait to get moved in and actually live there. Once we get over there I will take some pics to post so everyone can see. We are currently looking forward to a family reunion we have with Jer's family. Well, most of us are looking forward to it, after all it is camping! And we all know how much I love to do that!! I wanted to post some pic's of the kids, but I am on my grandpa's computer, and I didn't want to download my pics his computer. So I guess everyone will just have to wait until the next time.

MIA
Ok, I know!!!!!!!! We have been MIA for quite a while. This is the longest I have ever gone without some kind of update. I have been harassed by quite a few people, and we are moving this Friday so I may be MIA for a while again, so I figured I would hurry and post so you all know we are alive. For those who don't know (which I think everyone does) back in March we started the long process of searching for a home. Our plan originally was to buy a home already built. We spent till May looking through house after house after house. We really weren't finding anything we liked that we could afford. The process became quite frustrating. We have a good family friend who is a builder and he came to us and told us he was starting a new subdivision in Saratoga Springs, and offered to build us a home in our price range. Believe it or not, it wasn't the easiest decision we ever made. We knew building a home would be great because it has never been lived in, and we get to pick everything. But building would be more of a long process, and a lot of decisions and hassle. After a lot of prayer and thought we went ahead and decided to build. So the last 2 months we have been building a home. We are way excited, and can't wait until the process is over. I am really bad, and haven't taken pic's along the way. So I really don't have any pic's of the house to this point to post. I will have to post some once the house is done and we get moved in. Our lease for our apartment is up this Friday, so we have to move out. The builder says the house and final inspection will be this Friday, and that is cutting it really close. Tomorrow we are supposed to know if we can close Friday or not. If we don't close Friday we are hoping they will let us move our things into the garage and we will go stay with my Grandpa for a couple days. On top of building a home I am trying to start up a preschool. It has made my life so stressful and overwhelming, but I am hoping in the long run it will be a blessing. This is part of the reason it has taken me so long to post anything. Any spare time I have I have been planning out the preschool year, and buying supplies, and furniture for the classroom. I really am excited I just hope it all turns out well. By the way if anyone has family or friends that live in the area, and they need a preschool, please send them my way. It is really difficult to try and start a preschool when I am not even in the area yet. Thanks to those of you that have referred people to me.
Over the course of the past few months that I haven't blogged, a lot has happened. I have waited way too long to try and catch up, so I will try to remember what I can. Manda came home from Southern Virginia for the summer. It has been so fun and nice to have her around. I love her sooooo much. She will be leaving back to school in like 3-4 weeks, and I can't believe it has already gone by soo fast. Sydnee has had a couple check ups and she is still little for her age. She is in the 20th percentile for weight and 70th for height. She has been a little slow at most things, but is coming along ok. She is almost 16 months and still doesn't walk around everywhere. She is sooooo close, but still chooses to crawl. Wyatt lost his first tooth a couple days ago. He is only four and he is already loosing teeth. I didn't think he was old enough yet so I took him to the dentist to have an x-ray done to see if he is really loosing them and other teeth are growing up to take their place, or if something weird and abnormal is going on. Of course the x-rays showed that he was just loosing them early. There are other teeth growing in right behind them. He got teeth really early as a baby, I guess that should have been my first clue! Oh well it was worth the x-rays cause now I know for sure. This update is getting too long and I know I have lost your interest by this point. So I will leave it at those few things for now, and I will have to try and play catch up later. Although I have let it go for so long now I will be catching up for months. Hopefully once we get moved I will have a little time to update here and there. I have tried to attach a couple pic's so you can see some recent pics of the kids. I really have a ton of pic's that have accumulated since I last blogged, so I will have to post them slowly over time.
This is a pic of Wyatt and Sydnee in Jer's gym at the school. Back when school was in the kids loved to go visit daddy at work. Jer is pulling them around on these cart things with a jump rope. They loved it! I couldn't believe how good Syd was.

Sydnee had a birthday shout Hooray!
Sydnee's birthday cake
Wyatt was so kind to help Sydnee unwrap her present!
Jer and I gave her a purse that sings and talks. She loves it, especially the crinkly money that came with it.
The beloved triceratops car!
