Big Weekend!

Jer has been applying for teaching jobs like crazy since about February. He has had a few interviews, and recently a couple offers. We have spent the last couple weeks really praying and trying to make the best decision for our family and Jer's career. One of the job offers Jer got was in West Valley City at West Lake Jr. High. The interview he had with them was over the phone so Jer had never met the principal in person and didn't know what the area or school looked like. So before we made a decision we headed up North this weekend to meet the principal and look at the school. While we were there we really had good feelings about the school and faculty. Jer just fit in really well. Soooooo.......... yeah, that's right, we will be moving up North hopefully in the next couple weeks. We want to get up there so we can have time to transition before Jer starts the school year in August. We really have some mixed feelings about the move. We are excited to get on with life, and make this career move for Jer, but we are just sick about having to leave Cedar. It has been such a great starting place for us, and we have just really loved living here. West Lake is made up of students who speak 35 different languages. That was one of the things they loved about Jer, was his ability to speak Spanish. He will be teaching P.E. and coaching volleyball and track. He is really excited, and up for the challenge. We are thankful for the way things have been falling into place so far, and our next step is just figuring out where we want to live. We aren't planning on living in West Valley, so we need to decide on something that will be an easy commute. It all has been a little overwhelming, and I think it will be until we find somewhere to live. But we do feel it is the best option for our family at this time. Wyatt is extremely excited about the move for the following reasons: Ma's, Cabela's, and the zoo. What more could a child need? On the way Wyatt sat in the back seat holding what is supposed to be the handle to his sand bucket and held it up to his nose half the way there so he could be an elephant. He wouldn't talk to us, or look at us. Jer and I just kept looking back at him and laughing so hard. Part of our trip up there was going to visit my cousin who had also just had a baby girl. They named her Alivia, and she weighs 7 lbs. 7 oz. In this picture Alivia is three days old, and she is as big as Sydnee. I couldn't believe it, cause Sydnee is 6 weeks old now. We had fun taking lots of pic's of them together. Unfortunately most of my pic's turned out kind of blurry.

We of course had to fit a trip to Cabela's in while we were there. We ate in their restaurant for the first time. All the men were excited to try the meat they had, while all us girls were a little hesitant. We all liked what we had though. Here I am with Syd and my sis Manda. Who is going to school in South Virginia next year to play basketball. It is so far away, we are going to miss her a ton! But we are way excited for her and her accomplishment.

Wyatt was so funny when we walked past the hunter in the tent. The guy talks and tells facts about hunting animals, it's quite boring, but Wyatt loves to sit and listen to him talk over and over.

Happy Mother's Day!

I wanted to wish all the mom's out there a happy mothers day. Hope you all had a good weekend, and that someone made the day special for you. Jer always tries hard to make things special for me. Saturday night we ordered in Applebee's so I didn't have to make dinner. Of course we didn't go and sit at Applebee's to eat our meal, because we didn't want to attempt it with two kids. We decided it might be a less hectic evening if we just ate it at home where Wyatt could do his thing. On Mother's Day Jer gave me some flowers, a card and a couple pairs of lounge around pants. I had been wanting some new ones. Saturday morning Jer took Wyatt to a Primary activity where they made mother's day and father's day gifts. Wyatt brings it home and he had made a magnet with his picture in it for me, and a pin for Jer. I opened my magnet and said, "Thank you, did you make this for me?" He rips it out of my hand and says, "No this is mine. I made it for me." It made me laugh and I just let him think it was his. Kids, you've gotta love um. Sunday we decided we wanted to go to Sacrament Meeting in Enterprise. It was a very nice meeting. We then went back to my in-laws and had dinner. While we were there we had the opportunity of talking to Steph, Jer's sister. This is Aunt Steph and Wyatt before her mission.

She is serving in Seattle Washington. She is amazing, and it is always so nice to be able to talk to her. Wyatt was excited to talk to Aunt Steph and tell her all about the museum we took him to. We love you Aunt Steph and are glad you are doing well. I love being a mom and I am thankful for Mother's Day. A day to reflect on being a mom. I thank Jer for making it so nice for me.

Yesterday was the first time we took Sydnee to church

since she was born. Doesn't she just look soooo precious?

It was so much fun dressing her up!

On a side note. This is what Wyatt has been up to lately.

He has a stuffed animal snake that he has been using for a tail.

Everyday he is a jaguar or cheetah.

He looked at me the other day and said, "Did you know that hippos are part of the jaguar family?" It made me laugh really hard, and I just said, "No I did not know that."

Wildlife museum

We were in St. George last night for Jer's softball games. We went a little early so we could take Wyatt to the Wildlife museum. He absolutely loved it. We had our camera with us, but left it in the car. I know smart! The whole time we were in there I kept wishing I had brought the camera in. They had every animal you could imagine. It was so fun to watch Wyatt's face. Jer just kept saying you could see all these animals at Cabela's for free. Unforntunatly we don't live close enough to do that, so the museum will have to do for now.

Big Helper! I think?

Wyatt is such a big helper with Sydnee! Sometimes too big a help!

He loves her and kisses her all day. I can't wait until he can change her diapers, and feed her!

Our friends Shelly and Danny stopped by to visit this weekend, and we thought it would be fun to get a pic of Sydnee and Marley together. Marley is 4 months old, and Sydnee is now 3 weeks. Syd isn't very happy in the picture. She was kind of hungry when we were forcing her to sit there. Poor thing.
