Memories

This fun idea was on my friend's blog and I decided to do it. Now no party poopers! I expect a bunch of fun memories!

Here is a fun little game... Leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time, or a long time, anything you remember! Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. On your mark...get set...blog your memories!!

I don't have a memory with you because I've only met you once at the reunion last year but I do have one of your husband it was when he was about a month old and his family came to stay with ours to take his twin brother to the hospital and me and my sisters would fight over who got to feed them, we all love babies, we all wanted to feed his brother because he was smaller and didn't eat as fast as Jeremy did. But Jeremy was fun to play with and talk to. He was such a cute baby.

I remember the very first time we all hung out - you and Jer invited us over to watch the Superbowl. It was, however, the infamous Wardrobe Malfunction Superbowl. I remember watching the halftime show and Janet's "mishap" and being slightly embarrassed because we really hardly knew these Barlows and yet we had all been forced to experience a very intimate moment together. Ba ha ha ha ha! I just remember all four of us kind of staring at each other like "Did that really just happen?"

Oh dear...how do I narrow this down? Ok, in college is when we got really close, so I'll start there. Going to the Bishop's gas station for icecream and vanilla coke. Going on "adventures" when out motto was "don't think, just go". Helping Jer plan and carry out the proposal. Going to softball games in St. George. When I hit the curb in your car. Being in your wedding. But best of all...remember when all of us girls were at your house having a "tampon use lesson"? Good times! Love you Ang!

My oh my.... I have known you for how long!? The first things I think of is being at your house when we were youngens! Playing Barbies, & of course school on both of our chalkboards talking to ... oh thats right nobody!! (Besides the hooks on the walls) dancing to "pick up the trash, don't look back", you trying to teach me to play basketball and breaking my glasses!!! All of our camp experiences, campfires, tents, hikes with long songs! getting stuck in the lake in a canoe together, climbing a tree, big sunglasses, funny hats and fanny-packs, yes I have pictures of all this! ... Then there's Bear Lake... your green and blue sweat outfit! You were always cold, needed hot chocolate, & my cousin had a crush on you! Us doing "homework" in your room but seemed to always watch saved by the bell! Your earrings! Wow, green telephones. Us calling and coordinating outfits... red shorts white shirt, and opposite to match! Same shoes, going to pageants and dressing up! Moving on... When we grew up a bit we were college roommates! You had your blue sleeping mask, hated my 2 alarm clocks that I didn't wake up too, your bed was always perfect, you loved to rat your hair up to the sky, you cleaned the shower while you were showering, you used herbal essences, you would separate your eyelashes with a pin (ouch! how you could do that I will never know... and you probably still do!) Nintendo, of course always trying to teach me donkey kong, playing family feud together, Shopping.... our apartment basically dating a whole other apartment! (but you were the only marriage out of that!) Our lovely dance on stage with the boys across the way - the cheerleader dance and using the boys legs as ours in the ward talent show, bishops house sleep over - silly!! Same classes with Elem. Ed - lots of quizzing, sugar, and laughing! and of course, your great example. You have always been close to the Lord and I have always looked to you as a good example. I feel privileged to be one of your long life best friends, be in your wedding, see you have babies, talk for the long hours about potty training and being a mom, and just being there for one another. I love you to pieces and I know I could keep going... but this sums up a small part of our memories together! I love you!

Okay, the one memory that comes to mind is our freshman year of college. You and I were in the same History class together, remember, with Kathryn's boyfriend Wade and next door neighbor Beau. Anyways...I rememember walking out of class and we were chatting. You were telling me about how you were definatly going to go on a mission, and there is no way you were going to even think about getting married for like 5 years...little did you know that you were the first one to go...and that summer even!
