Church v.s. Government

Between the elections and President Hinckley passing away I have been doing some thinking. I was thinking about how amazing the gospel is and how true the church is. When President Hinckley passed away we were all a little saddened and will miss him, but we knew everything was going to be ok. We had that peace to know that no matter who the next prophet was going to be, he is called by our Heavenly Father, and it is still our Heavenly Father who will run the church. I love that we don't need to worry or stress about who is in charge and who is going to take care of our church. On the other hand, I have also been thinking about how worried I am about who is going to be our next President of the United States. I don't like anyone who is running nor do I agree with what they will do when they get in office. I am really worried for the world and our country. I know there is a purpose for everything, but I am a little scared all the same. So with all this said I have just been thinking how wonderful it is to have the peace and knowledge the gospel brings. Where as politics and the world gives me no peace of mind at all. Just something to think about!
