Ok so Sydnee is going through this stage where she doesn't want baby food anymore, but she can't eat all grown up food yet either. She loves pieces of bread, crackers, and banana but I am having the hardest time making sure she gets fruits and vegetables and not just snacky food. It was so easy when she ate the baby food, but now she won't. I sometimes just try to feed her smaller versions of what we are eating, but depending on what that is, that won't always work. She hasn't taken to the pasta pickups and other gerber graduate foods, and besides it is all so expensive. I guess I am just having a hard time finding a variety of things to feed her. It's like lunch hits and I draw a blank, I have no idea what to make for her. Does anyone have any suggestions? What do you feed your kids when they won't eat baby food anymore? I know I should know because I went through this with Wyatt, but I can't remember what I did with him.

Walking With Dinosaurs!
For Christmas my parents gave Wyatt 3 tickets to Walking with Dinosaurs. So me, Wyatt and Jer went this last weekend. One word. . . . . . . . . . . . . AWESOME! Wyatt's eyes never left the show. He was so enthralled he had an accident. We kept asking him if he needed to go potty and he kept telling us no. He was sitting on Jer's lap during some of the show, and at intermission, yep you guessed it, Jer's lap was all wet. Yeah, Jer wasn't too happy, but what are ya going to do? The dinosaurs were huge!! And they looked so real. It was a very creative way to learn about dinosaurs. We are so thankful for the opportunity to go. It's like nothing we have ever seen. We had so much fun. Thanks mom and dad! I tried to take some pic's. They asked that no one use flash photography, so we turned our flash on the camera off. The pic's aren't as good as I'd hoped for, but at least we have a few for the memory.
We decided to let Wyatt get something for a souvenir and my mom had given him some money to get something. So we take him over to the stand and they had some really cool things. Well, the only thing he wants is this plastic Brachiosaurus. I swear he has like 15 of this same dinosaur at home, but we couldn't talk him into anything else.
This is the mommy T-rex with it's baby T-rex. I know you wouldn't normally describe a T-rex as cute, but watching the mom and baby walk around together was way cute.

Can I? Can I?
Every morning when we wake up, or if Sydnee has been down for a nap and is waking up, Wyatt is always begging to go into her room. As soon as he can hear her, he has to be in her room. He used to just walk in without asking, and I wasn't ready to go in and get her yet. So I told him he has to ask first. Anyway the last few times I have gone in to get her this is what I've found . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Good Times, Good Times
Once again we were very blessed this Christmas. And we also had a wonderful New Year, as we hope all of you did. The fun began on the 19th of Dec. when we went to pick up Aunt Manda from the airport. I can't tell you how excited I was to see her. I started crying as soon as she was in sight. Wyatt never left her side the whole 11 days she was here. Ok, well we didn't see her everyday so I guess he left her side a little bit, but for the most part he just followed her around when he could. That Friday night he went home with Ma's and Manda and had a sleepover. And in case any of you were wondering, Manda followed through and gave him bumblebee for his b-day.
I met my mom and sisters at the mall on Sat. to find some new jeans. Both Manda and I claim to be in dyer need of new jeans. So my mom took us jean shopping for part of our Christmas. It was kind of busy and crazy being the Sat. before Christmas. But it was still fun to have all the girls together. And we found some cute jeans too.
Christmas Eve my whole family went over to my Aunt Ellen's house where we ate a lot of good food, played a lot of fun games, and enjoyed each other's company. It is always fun to get together with Ellen's family because I have a close cousin my age, and she has a little girl Sydnee's age. So it is always fun to get together and catch up.
After the partying was over Jer and I headed home with the kids. Wyatt surprisingly went to bed really well. I think he was exhausted from all the fun. Jer and I woke Christmas morning about 8 a.m. and we still hadn't heard anything from Wyatt. But of course now that we were awake we were so excited we couldn't get back to sleep. So I got up and got in the shower and started to get ready for the day while we waited for Wyatt to wake up. Wyatt woke about 9:00 and we already had Sydnee fed and were ready to go. Wyatt was so cute when he walked out and saw what Santa brought him. Gifts from mom and dad get wrapped but Santa just lays our gifts out so Wyatt can walk out and see them laying there. Anyway, Wyatt has been asking for a snake car for like an eternity, which of course Santa brought him. But he looked around at everything else he got, and said, "How come I got all this other stuff? All I wanted was this snake car." Apparently Jer and I could have got off easier than we thought. I guess next year we need to get him only what he asks for and nothing more. Nice!
Wyatt was nice to help Syd open all of her gifts. She didn't really know what was going on. She loves the laugh and learn table Santa brought. It definitely has been a hit. She also got a ball blower toy thing. (Sorry I really don't know what you would call it.) And Wyatt plays with it as much as she does. One of Sydnee's favorites is her glow worm doll that her cousin Shalee gave her. It's the only doll he got for Christmas and her first doll she has ever had might I add. ( I know I'm a terrible mother.) Anyway she loves to give it hugs and kisses. She likes to watch the dolls face light up and listen to the music it plays. I think Jer's favorite thing I gave him was the Michael Jackson's greatest hits CD. We listen to it daily. It was so fun giving it to him, cause he had no idea he was getting it. Jer also got what we like to call "the mini wii" from his mom. It is really fun. It has a paddle which looks just like the wii paddle and you can play all sorts of sports games on it. We have had a lot of fun playing with it. Jer gave me new scriptures. It was a huge surprise cause I didn't really ask for anything this year. So I didn't really know what he was going to get me if anything. He also gave me a shark mop. If any of you haven't seen this thing you are missing out. It is awesome! It steam cleans your floors. Grandma and Grandpa Barlow gave the kids jackets and a farm toy.
The pirate ship Santa brought Wyatt.
The rest of what Santa brought Wyatt for Christmas
Syd playing with her laugh and learn table on Christmas morning
Wyatt got a book about dolphins and a couple dinosaurs from my parents.
Me, Manda, My Mom, and Emilee
New Year's Eve, we had a nice quiet evening at home. Jer and I got out all the snacks and games and had a relaxing night in our pj's. New Year's day we went to my parents for lot's of good food and fun games. Jer has had 2 weeks off work, I guess one perk of being a school teacher. We have loved having him home. We had a great holiday and my favorite part is just being with family!

Hooray for Manda!
So my sister Manda has been living in Southern Virginia playing basketball at SVU since August. Boy has she been missed! When we both lived in Cedar she lived at my house. We did everything together. If I needed to run errands, and I didn't want to take the kids by myself she would come along. I can't tell you how much help she was when I had Sydnee. Toward the end of the pregnancy I was put on bed rest and she slept over at our apartment and took care of Wyatt till I finally had Sydnee. Now to go from being together all the time to not seeing her for 4 months is hard. I know 4 months really isn't that long, but I have sure missed her. And what makes it worse is Wyatt cries over missing Aunt Manda at least twice a week. He tells us she's his girlfriend. It's cute! Anyway, the whole point of this post is to announce that Aunt Manda is coming home!!!!!!! Yay! I can't tell you how excited we are to see her. She flies in tomorrow night and we will all be at the airport to pick her up. She was sad not to be home for Wyatt's birthday so she has a gift for him that he gets to open at the airport. He told Manda exactly what he wanted from her. So no pressure Manda but you better come through. He keeps saying that Manda is giving him Bumblebee. Now she is only here for like 10 days, so we don't get her for very long. There's a lot to fit in while she is here. Let's just say we will be busy. We love you Manda and we will see you tomorrow.

Birthday Fun
This face says it all!
Wyatt with Ma's and Grandpa
Monday evening on Wyatt's birthday we had my fam over again for cake and ice cream. Wyatt was spoiled once again and got a lot of fun toys and money from the great grandparents. I think his favorite is this animal planet thing that Jer and I gave him. He has been begging for it for months.
Wyatt got everything from a picnic table to a dragon, dinosaur and octopus.
Grandma and Grandpa Barlow gave him this picnic table. He was so excited when he woke up first thing this morning, he had to eat his breakfast on it. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!
